Bose Corporation is an American audio equipment manufacturer founded in 1964 by Amar Bose. Headquartered in Framingham, Massachusetts, it is owned by the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). Bose is best known for its noise-canceling headphones and earbuds, but also produces a wide range of other audio products, including speakers, soundbars, home theater systems, and automotive sound systems.
